A Hopkinsville man was charged with DUI third offense after driving recklessly on Butler Road in Christian County Wednesday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say that as they were on another call, a vehicle driven by 54-year-old Gerald Rothenburger was speeding and came close to hitting two deputies and two juveniles they were talking with.
Rothenburger reportedly reversed and passed them again before stopping for law enforcement.
Rothenburger was stopped and charged with DUI third offense, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, and reckless driving.
