Hopkinsville Man Gets 15 Years For Drug Trafficking

A Hopkinsville man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for trafficking meth and fentanyl, and for money laundering.

Jay Brown, 55, was convicted on multiple charges, including conspiring to distribute over 50 grams of meth and more than 400 grams of fentanyl, as well as money laundering. The crimes took place in Christian County between January 2021 and September 2023.

At the time, Brown was already on supervised release for a prior federal conviction. He’ll also face another five years of supervision after his release.

There is no parole in the federal system.

The case was investigated by the DEA, ATF, Homeland Security, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and Hopkinsville Police.
