The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources will announce the winners of the 2025 Kentucky Elk Hunt Drawing live at 3 PM Saturday, May 10, during the Kentucky Elk & Outdoor Fest in Bardstown.
The names of 500 randomly selected hunters eligible to purchase a 2025 elk permit will be revealed. A record-breaking 95,743 applications were submitted by the April 30 deadline.
The free livestream will be available on the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Facebook page. Applicants can also check results starting Noon Eastern Wednesday, May 14 by logging into their My Profile at fw.ky.gov.
The Kentucky Elk & Outdoor Fest runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET at KYGUNCO (401 Glenwood Dr.). It features nearly 100 outdoor vendors, food trucks, wildlife demos, and live music, including:
