Superintendent Reviews Year Prior to Annual Evaluation

The Christian County Board of Education is preparing Superintendent Chris Bentzel’s annual evaluation. Thursday night, Bentzel went over the Capstone presentation for the year.

click to download audioMost elementary schools are already fully staffed for the 2025-2026 school year. Bentzel adds he is proud of the strides the district is making in managerial leadership.

click to download audioThe Board met in closed session to discuss his presentation and their individual evaluations. The final evaluation will be presented in June.

Meanwhile, the board voted to approve a new bank for the district, with Director of Finance Jessica Darnell discussing the bids.

click to download audioBoard Attorney Jack Lackey pointed out United Community Bank was not legally a choice as they do not have a branch in Kentucky. The board voted unanimously to approve Planters Bank’s bid.
