A Hopkinsville man was charged with robbery after taking a woman’s phone at a gas station on East 9th Street Tuesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 50-year-old Robert Bibbs took the woman’s phone and tossed it into a field then pushed her down before taking the phone again.
Wednesday she reportedly tried to get her phone back from him and he hit her with a handgun breaking her tooth and busting her lips.
Bibbs was arrested and charged with second-degree robbery and second-degree assault.
