City of Cadiz Attorney Allen Wilson confirmed Wednesday that city officials have been notified by the Commonwealth’s Attorney office that Brianna Hyde, former Cadiz On Main Director, was not indicted on undisclosed charges brought before a Trigg County Grand Jury.
Wilson re-confirmed that, in October 2024, a city investigation was immediately turned over to Kentucky State Police Post 1 for matters not made public.
A letter of termination was delivered to Hyde thereafter.
In a written statement to The News Edge, Hyde confirmed her clearance in the matter, and noted that “at this point, this situation had destroyed a career” she had worked her entire life to build, and that it had taken away from her children and hurt her family — especially being re-dredged in context.
Hyde further issued that she worked “extremely hard for a city she loved,” and she thought that was evident in all she had done while previously holding the position. She said she had “bigger visions than the town had to offer,” and the people who did this to her “know the truth.”
Anything else she had to say, she wrote, would be unkind, and that she’s “ready to move forward with her life,” and put this entire thing behind her while enjoying time with family, building her business and proceeding to rebuild the damage that was “unfairly done to her reputation.”
