LPC Committee Sends Final Christian County Facilities Plan to State

After reviewing minor changes from the Division of District Support, the Local Planning Committee finalized the 4-year Christian County Public Schools District Facilities Plan. Hafer Architect Eric Rang says the biggest changes involved demolition and construction projects.

click to download audioThat $55M includes HVAC renovations and classroom construction at Hopkinsville Middle School, major renovations at MLK Early Learning Center and Freedom, Indian Hills, Millbrooke, and South Christian Elementary Schools, minor renovations at Pembroke and Sinking Fork Elementary Schools, a new bus garage, a new central maintenance facility, and major renovations to the Central Office.

The District Facilities Plan will head back to the Kentucky Department of Education for final approval before being voted on by the Christian County Board of Education.
