Hopkinsville Community College (HCC) is expanding its commitment to workforce development with the launch of a new Industrial Maintenance and Mechatronics (IMM) program at its Fort Campbell campus.
This marks the third offering through HCC’s Career Skills Program (CSP), specifically designed to help transitioning service members and veterans gain high-demand job skills.
The IMM program is a fast-paced, 14-week hands-on course that equips students with essential skills for careers in industrial maintenance. Participants will complete six college-level courses covering technical math, electricity, industrial equipment, and motor controls.
Upon graduation, students will earn two academic certificates and three industry-recognized certifications—credentials that open doors to careers in regional manufacturing and industrial sectors.
In addition to classroom instruction, the program includes professional development workshops in resume writing and job interviewing. Students will also tour local manufacturing facilities and network directly with employers, increasing their chances of landing a job immediately after the program.
Courses will be held at the SSG Glenn H. English Jr. Army Education Center, where two classrooms have been outfitted with modern training equipment.
This upgrade was made possible through a TVA Workforce Invest grant secured by the South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council, along with support from the Christian County Fiscal Court via Regional Development Agency Assistance Program (RDAAP) funds.
The program will be led by adjunct instructor Scott Moeller, a U.S. Navy veteran who brings over 25 years of industry experience and three years of teaching experience from the Tennessee College of Applied Technology.
