The Hopkinsville Rotary Club ended the six-night fundraising auction by raising more than $634,000 to help the youth and seniors of Christian County.
Although complete details about the auction have not been released, Rotarians says the final total amounted to $634,383 from the auction, the Diner and Sweet Shop, and the Hour and Goat Club.
The Hopkinsville Rotary Foundation awarded its eleventh and final grant to the Christian County Literacy Council. This donation will help launch their CCLC Summer Program which is a week-long program giving children ages 4-17 the opportunity to explore interests and careers such as the arts, cooking, fantasy, music, mystery, nature, science, sports, technology and the world. It’s all about inspiring creativity, curiosity and confidence in the next generation.
