Richard King, 75, of Hopkinsville

Richard Ewing King, 75, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at his home.

Memorial services will be held at First Christian Church on May 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the church. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Christian County, Kentucky he was born on March 15, 1950, the son of the late William Ewing King and Frances Florine Cooksey King. He was a member of First Christian Church, a United States Navy and Coast Guard Veteran and retired Aircraft Mechanic after 29 years of service.

Survivors include his wife: Pamela Dianne Joiner King of Hopkinsville, KY; his son, David (Chelsea) Erickson of Bowling Green, KY; his daughter, Jessica (Jay) Chapman of Pleasant View, TN; his step-children, Scott (Marcy) Jordan and Dana Lopez of Hopkinsville, KY; his brothers, Nicholas King and Stephen King of Crofton, KY. Nine grandchildren, Steven King-Seeley, Jace Coryell, Jack Coryell, Danica Chapman, Nando Lopez, Nicolas Lopez, Ashley Parker, Elizabeth Jordan and Will Jordan and five great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Pennyroyal Hospice.
