A bicyclist was flown to a Nashville hospital after he was hit by a vehicle on Hayes Road in Christian County Thursday night.
Kentucky State Police say the 15-year-old was holding onto the side of a moving vehicle while riding a bike at the 6400 block of Hayes Road when something happened, causing the teenager to be hit by the vehicle.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says the teenager was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to a waiting helicopter that flew him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with severe head injuries.
