A Clarksville man and a Hopkinsville woman were charged with drug possession during a traffic stop on Fort Campbell Boulevard Saturday afternoon.
Hopkinsville police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Kobe Perry for a seat belt violation and found the smell of marijuana was coming from the vehicle.
After a search, a crushed-up ecstasy pill was found in the center console, and a bag belonging to his passenger, 38-year-old Sharika Sivils, contained marijuana and a handgun.
Perry was arrested and charged with improper lane usage, failure to wear seat belts, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance. Sivils was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
