A city of Oak Grove employee was arrested Monday on a warrant charging her with several counts of tampering with public records.
Kentucky State Police say 38-year-old Hailey Bamford who is the city’s payroll accountant and human resource had on multiple occasions falsified her time entry and altered her time sheets starting in May 2022 and ending on October 2023.
Bamford reportedly falsified business records to obtain city taxpayer money by theft of time for a minimum of $6,208.75.
Friday the Christian County Grand Jury returned a true bill charging her with abuse of public trust less than $10,000 and 14 counts of tampering with public records.
Bamford was arrested at Oak Grove City Hall and lodged in the Christian County Jail.
