Phyllis Boyd, 90, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, died on Tuesday evening, April 8, 2025, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2025, at Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born in Watertown, Tennessee, on October 4, 1934, the fifth child of Herman Neal and Sally Leonard Owen Patton. During her life, she was an active member of First Baptist Church, Hopkinsville, Kentucky, where she taught in the preschool and kindergarten programs. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, and crafts. She was a supportive and loving mother and grandmother, modeling a servant heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her four siblings, and her husband, Robert Edgar Boyd.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sally Boyd of Tazewell, Virginia, and Nancy Boyd (Tim) Pace of Benton, Kentucky, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
