A home on South Main Street in Hopkinsville was damaged in a fire Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Battalion Chief Michael Henderson says they were called for a possible structure fire and found the home full of smoke.
A small fire in the basement was found and quickly extinguished but the home reportedly suffered some smoke damage.
The fire was next to a heating element and is under investigation.
The home is located at 1637 South Main Street
