A Hopkinsville woman was charged with drug possession after a traffic stop for speeding on North Drive Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Misty Ray for speeding and during the stop, law enforcement K9 Zico alerted to drugs being in the vehicle.
After a search, Police say in her purse a bag of synthetic marijuana and a bag of suspected meth were found along with a bag of marijuana that was found on her and a glass smoking device.
She reportedly claimed her boyfriend had her purse for 4 days. Ray was arrested and charged with speeding, DUI, possession of meth second offense, and possession of synthetic drugs second offense.
