A Maryville, Tennessee, man was charged with DUI and drug possession after a report of a suspicious person at the Dollar General in Canton Tuesday night.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called for a man who had been at the store for several hours and made a traffic stop on the vehicle driven by 33-year-old Ray Greer as he left the area.
During the stop, deputies could reportedly smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and found him to be in possession of a bag and spoon with traceable amounts of suspected meth on them.
He was arrested and charged with possession of meth and DUI along with being served a warrant for non-payment of court costs.
