A Hopkinsville man was charged after he reportedly claimed to have taken hostages on Madisonville Road in Christian County Friday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 41-year-old Samuel Norwine called the Veteran Crisis Hotline claiming he had three hostages in his basement using heroin that he was not going to let go.
Deputies say Norwine has called 911 28 times since December 11th for non-emergency purposes then refuses to answer the door when law enforcement arrives.
He was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, false report of an incident to law enforcement, and wireless emergency phone service violations.
