A show featuring Newsom’s Old Mill Store in Princeton will help kick off the new season KET’s “The Farmer and The Foodie” Saturday and Monday.
According to a post on Princeton Then and Now the first episode of the fifth season of the show that is hosted by Maggie Keith and Lindsay McClave will feature a visit to Newsom’s in Princeton. The show includes a visit with owner Nancy Newsom Mahaffey and her staff as they share their process for curing country ham. During the show, hosts Maggie and Lindsey will head to the kitchen to create a French version of a ham and cheese sandwich with a croque monsieur paired with country ham fried rice and a simple salad.
“The Farmer and The Foodie” airs Saturday afternoon at 2:30 and Monday at 11:30 on KET. After the show airs, the episode will be available on the KET website.
