Two Charged With Drug Possession In Separate Incidents

A Hopkinsville woman and a Clarksville man were charged with possession of drugs in separate arrests Sunday.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called to a gas station on West 7th Street for someone possibly shoplifting alcohol and located 39-year-old Jennifer Allen who was found to be in possession of meth.

In a separate incident, Police say they stopped a vehicle on Hayes Street driven by 29-year-old Luis McCurry for a large crack in his windshield and loud exhaust.

During the stop, officers could reportedly smell marijuana, and after a search marijuana and a glass smoking device with meth residue in it were found.

McCurry was arrested and charged with possession of meth, possession of marijuana, operating on a suspended or revoked license, no insurance, inadequate silencer muffler, and obstructed vision and/or windshield.

Allen was also arrested and charged with possession of meth and public intoxication.
