A high-speed pursuit that started in Oak Grove ended in Hopkinsville Saturday night.

Kentucky State Police say they attempted to stop an SUV for speeding near exit 89, and the driver fled, reaching speeds of over 100 mph before hitting a trooper’s vehicle on Pennyrile Parkway.

The pursuit came to an end on the Pennyrile Parkway overpass for Eagle Way.

Three vehicles in the opposite lane collided due to traffic slowing for the pursuit. A female driver of one of the cars was reportedly treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for injuries.

The driver and passenger in the SUV that fled from law enforcement were both arrested after the driver fled on foot, a short distance before being taken into custody.
