A man was flown to a Nashville hospital after he jumped from a bridge onto Interstate 24 Monday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to the area of Lafayette Road for a check the welfare and as they arrived the man jumped from the bridge onto Interstate 24.
Law enforcement was reportedly able to wave down vehicles and pull the man out of the road before he was struck by a vehicle.
The man was treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS to a waiting helicopter that flew him to a Nashville hospital. The full extent of his injuries was unknown.
