Changes Made To Kentucky Healthy At Work Guidelines

Dr. Stack

Kentucky Health Commissioner Dr. Steven Stack said Monday they are making some updates to the Healthy at Work guidelines.

The major change would raise the capacity limits in certain businesses to help make some of the capacity restrictions easier across the board.

Dr. Stack added the new, updated one-page document would be able to be used for many businesses.

He said there are still some supplemental requirements for healthcare facilities; weddings, funerals, and memorial services; restaurants and bars; pools and bathing facilities; and gyms, sports, and exercise activities.

All of the updated documents can be found here.

As of Monday afternoon, over 1.66 million, or 39-percent of the adult population in Kentucky, have received at least their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Governor Beshear

Governor Andy Beshear said the biggest vaccine hesitancy seems to be among Republicans.

Kentucky added 231 new COVID-19 cases and 9 deaths Monday. Five of the deaths came from the statewide death audit that is still underway. The Commonwealth has a 3.46-percent testing positivity rate.
